Day 1 — Lisbon • Elvas • Badajoz • Seville

Depart Lisbon and travel through the peaceful landscapes of the Alentejo to Elvas, the Portuguese border town facing Badajoz. Discover this remarkable UNESCO World Heritage city, renowned for the world’s largest system of dry-ditch bastion fortifications. A sightseeing visit introduces its impressive defences, historic streets and distinctive frontier character.

Cross into Spain and continue to Badajoz, where you will have free time for lunch—an opportunity to sample the traditional cuisine of Extremadura.

In the afternoon, journey onwards to Seville, the vibrant capital of Andalusia. Check into your hotel and enjoy dinner. This evening, experience the emotion and energy of a flamenco show, where expressive dance, powerful singing and guitar music bring Andalusian culture to life.

Included: Flamenco show, dinner and overnight accommodation in Seville.

Day 2 — Seville: Royal Splendour & Andalusian Charm

After breakfast, discover Seville’s most celebrated sights on a guided morning tour. Begin at the magnificent Plaza de España, created for the 1929 Ibero-American Exhibition, with its sweeping galleries, decorative bridges and colourful ceramic panels.

Visit the Royal Alcázar of Seville, an extraordinary palace complex where intricate Mudéjar decoration, elegant courtyards and beautiful gardens reflect centuries of royal history. Continue to Seville Cathedral, the monumental Gothic church built on the site of the city’s former great mosque, with the iconic Giralda rising beside it.

Complete your morning with a walk through Barrio de Santa Cruz, Seville’s former Jewish quarter, where narrow lanes, flower-filled patios and intimate squares reveal the city’s romantic character.

Enjoy free time for lunch, followed by an afternoon at leisure. Explore local shops, relax at a pavement café or choose an optional activity.

Included: Admission to the Royal Alcázar and Seville Cathedral, dinner and overnight accommodation in Seville.

Day 3 — Seville • Vila Real de Santo António • Tavira • Olhão • Algarve

After breakfast, leave Seville and travel west towards Portugal’s sunny Algarve. Cross the border near Vila Real de Santo António, the elegant town beside the Guadiana River, rebuilt in the 18th century with an orderly grid of streets.

Continue to Tavira for a comfort stop and a brief opportunity to appreciate one of the Algarve’s most picturesque towns. Whitewashed buildings, traditional tiled roofs and the peaceful Gilão River create a charming introduction to the region.

Next, stop in Olhão near its lively waterfront markets. This fishing town is known for its maritime traditions and distinctive architecture, while the waterfront overlooks the islands and lagoons of the Ria Formosa. Enjoy free time for lunch during the day.

Proceed to your Algarve hotel, located near a beautiful beach, and check in. The remainder of the day is yours to relax, stroll along the coast or simply enjoy the seaside atmosphere.

Included: Dinner and overnight accommodation in the Algarve.

Day 4 — Algarve • Lagos • Sagres • Cape St Vincent • Silves • Lisbon

After breakfast, set out to discover the western Algarve, beginning with Lagos. A sightseeing visit introduces this historic coastal town, whose sheltered harbour played an important role in Portugal’s maritime expansion. Explore its characterful centre, where traditional streets and lively squares preserve the atmosphere of a seafaring past.

Continue to Sagres and visit its imposing fortress, dramatically positioned above the Atlantic. Associated with Portugal’s Age of Discoveries, the site offers sweeping coastal views and a powerful sense of the ocean’s place in the country’s history.

A short drive brings you to Cape St Vincent, evocatively known as the “end of the world”. Admire its striking lighthouse and towering cliffs, where the vast Atlantic stretches towards the horizon.

Pause for free time for lunch before continuing to Silves, once the capital of the Islamic Algarve. Visit its impressive red sandstone castle, with time for photographs and views over the town and surrounding countryside.

Travel north to Lisbon, arriving towards the end of the afternoon, subject to traffic and the duration of the visits.

Included: Admission to Sagres Fortress and Silves Castle.
